The institution aims to respond and prevent the environmental problems through :
- Social & Environmental Impact Assessment (SEIA): the assessment of the environmental consequences of projects or program prior the decision to move forward with the proposed actions
- Environmental governance: this is developing environmental & climate change Policies, Laws, Regulation, and Guidelines by enabling government to integrated and coherent policy/laws responses to environmental problems and improve compliances and enforcement, this takes into account Building institutional and human capacity in the environmental sphere by advocating adaptation this include Renewable energy and Green SDG innovation
- Environmental Education: to raise Environmental conservation awareness create climate resilient communities through restoration and protection Environmental education is about understanding environmental issues confronting our planet and simultaneously changing
- Biodiversity protection: This is maintaining diversity of species, genes, and ecosystems including Agriculture smart, Forestry, soil ,pollution ,waste management and Wildlife
